Stan Lee was a respected comic book producer who co-launched super heroes like Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Marvel Comics for X-Men.

Early Life

Stan Lee was born on December 28, 1922, in New York, Stan Lee's full name was Stan Lee Martin Lieber. His father's name was Jack and mother's name was Celia. He had a younger brother named is Larry Lieber. He said in 2006 that as a child he was influenced by books and films, especially playing a heroic role with Errol Flynn. As long as Lee was in his teenage, his family was living in an apartment in University Avenue in the Bronx. Lee tells that "a third-floor of buildings facing out back". Lee and his brother shared the bedroom when their parents sleep on the foldout couch.

Lee studied in De Witt Clinton High School, Lee enjoyed writing and entertained one day's dream of writing "Great American Novel" in his youth. He worked a part-time job for a news service and releases press for the National Tuberculosis Center.

Career

With the help of his uncle Robbie Solomon Lee became an assistant at Timely Comics in 1939 as a writer and at the beginning of the 1940s, when he was only 19 years old due to a conflict in the company and their growing creativity, Lee was made an interim editor of the company. Worked with the company for 31 years, mostly as editor-in-chief, he became the interim editor for the company. During World War II, Lee served as an author and painter while serving in the army domestically. He started with menial jobs and soon started his comic book with the text comper 'Captain America Fole The Trotter's Revenge'.In the year 1941, Lee getting the opportunity to do real comics with the backup feature. Lee created “Destroyer” in Mystic Comics, Jack Frost in the USA and created Father Time in Captain America.

Creating the Fantastic Four 

In the early 60's, Lee was called by his master to create a series for Marvel Comics (Timley's new name), which could compete with the opponent DC Comics' hit title Justus League of America. After referring to writing effects such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Jules Verne, and after the encouragement of his wife, Joan, Lee, Lee removed some common superhero conventions. Therefore, with artist and co-producer Jack Kirby, Fantastic Four was born in 1961.

In 1971, Lee was asked to write a story on the side effects of medicines and he thought of incorporating it into 'Amazing Spider-Man'. The Comics Code Authority was against it because the depiction of medicines was against the code. The success of the Fantastic Four, soon after Lee and his Marvel Cohorts, several new characters including Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, and X-Men have emerged. Lee and Goodman went ahead with it and published the story in their comics. The story became really famous and Marvel was appreciated for spreading responsible messages. CCA terminated the code and allowed negative portrayal of drugs.

Marvel Comics became a very popular franchise, and Stan Lee was promoted to editorial director and publisher in 1972. Later he went to the West Coast to join Marvel's film enterprises and became chairman emeritus. In 1975, he was busier and gained popularity as a public face for Marvel Comics. He participated in comic book conferences around America, gave lectures in colleges and participated in panel discussions.

Fantastic Four

Lee’s role in the company was growing bigger in 1981, he was given developing Marvel's TV and film properties, for which he had to move with his family in California. Lee became president of the company.

Lee has joined multimedia projects while working as an ambassador for Marvel, even if he has filed a lawsuit against the company and has been the subject of debate on suitable compensation for comic creators. Marvel developed in an entity that inspired blockbuster film entertainment such as Iron Man, X-Men, Thor, and The Avengers franchise. In 2001, Lee made ‘POW! (Purveyors of Wonder) Entertainment, along with Gill Champion and Arthur Lieberman, to create film, television and video game properties. He also launched 'Stan Lee's Sunday Comics'. 

When Lee completed his 65 years with Marvel, he honored him in 2006 with the publication of a series of one shot comics in which Lee was interacted with co-production like 'Spider-Man', 'Doctor Strange' etc. done. Lee announces his new YouTube channel, 'Stan Liège World of Heroes', broadcasting various programs created by San Diego Comic-Con International in 2012.

 Awards & Achievements

Lee's innovative contribution to the world of comics has won him awards, such as awards, National Award Arts, Saturn Awards, Scrum Awards, Hollywood Walk of Fame, America's Producers Guild, and Visual Effects Society Awards.

Death

Lee died in Los Angeles, California on November 12, 2018.
